Stefaan Vandist is obsessed with the power of storytelling. No matter what people think about the organisation you built, your projects, or your career… sooner or later, everything becomes a story. So the question is: do you have control over your future narrative? What story do your people share? And what legacy will you leave behind?

First and foremost, Stefaan is a seasoned keynote speaker, specialising in the interplay of foresight, sustainability, and storytelling. He frequently speaks at conferences, where he liberates the future from dry reports, numbers, and technical jargon and turns them into compelling, engaging narratives. He believes that sustainability should be brought back to where it truly belongs: as an opportunity for innovation, entrepreneurship, and emotional connection—evoking wonder, marvel, and awe. Because that’s where minds open to new ideas and possibilities.

Beyond speaking, Stefaan helps organisations find their voice, amplify their message, and strengthen their narrative capabilities. In recent months, he has worked with the international engineering firm Arcadis, The Blue Cluster—a networking organisation for offshore activities in the North Sea—Hero Benelux, Pelckmans Publishers, VITO (the Flemish Institute for Technological Research), and the world-renowned music festival Tomorrowland.

He is also the author of three future-focused books powered by the art of storytelling: We, Myself & A.I. (Lannoo, 2018), Pretopia (Lannoo Campus, 2022), and Prototyping the Future (Lannoo Campus, 2024). His latest work has been nominated for Management Book of the Year 2025.
